Team Placement & Evaluation Policies
To ensure every dancer is set up for maximum growth, confidence, and success, please note the following evaluation guidelines:
- At auditions, all dancers will be evaluated for placement across both OCPRO and Company groups, regardless of which team they are applying for.
- Current OCPRO Dancers: Current OCPRO dancers are re-evaluated at each new season’s auditions to determine whether they will be placed on OCPRO or Company.
- Current Company Dancers: Current OCPAA Company dancers may not apply for OCPRO auditions unless they have been explicitly invited to do so by the studio director.
- New Dancers to OCPAA: Any dancers new to OCPAA who apply and audition for OCPRO may be placed on a Company team.
- Final placement on a Company or OCPRO team is strictly dependent upon there being an appropriate age and skill-level team fit for the dancer.
Unable to Attend Auditions?
If you are unable to attend all or part of our live auditions, you must still complete the online registration form and pay the standard audition fees. On the official application, you will have the opportunity to indicate which portions of the audition your dancer will miss. The studio will then contact you regarding private audition options (an additional fee applies) and next steps. Detailed instructions for dancers unable to attend will follow soon.
