2023 Winter Recital

Our 2023 Winter Recital will take place Saturday, December 16th and Sunday, December 17th at the Nechita Theater at Orange Lutheran. There will be one show each day at 1:00 PM and all participating classes and students will perform in both shows.

IMPORTANT INFO TO NOTE

  • Ticket sales are not handled by OCPAA but are offered through Nechita Theater. OCPAA staff is unable to assist with any ticket purchase questions or issues.
  • NO Exchanges and NO Refunds on ticket purchases per Nechita Theater.
  • Seats are assigned and are offered in tiered pricing
  • All tickets can be downloaded to print or scanned at the door.
  • Should you need assistance with special needs/handicap seating please leave a message at 714-282-4699

DRESSING ROOM SIGN UPS

Parents are required to select a dressing room EACH DAY for their child to be in. Try to select a room that has your child’s class represented. This means that one of the volunteers has a child also in that room. Rooms are first come, first serve so please coordinate with your class friends to make sure you can be in the same room, if possible.

  • Don’t forget to select a Saturday 12/16 and Sunday 12/17 dressing room for your child
  • If you do not see your child’s class represented this means there is no parent volunteer from that class and you should select any open room or consider volunteering that day.
  • If you do not select a room for your child, we will place them directly. DEADLINE is Thursday 12/14 at 8:00 PM.

We still need volunteers!

As you can see we are still very short on volunteers for each room. Please email tammy.ocpaa@gmail.com if you would like to be added as volunteer to a room and make sure to review the volunteer guidelines.

  • If you are paying a babysitter to be with your child in the room DO NOT sign them up as a volunteer. They should only be responsible for your child and we will need to find another parent volunteer for the room to help all students.
  • Company/OCPRO siblings: if you would like your child with their Company/OCPRO sibling please email tammy.ocpaa@gmail.com to confirm (even if you already have)
  • All official volunteers will be given a volunteer lanyard. No adults will be allowed in the dressing rooms without these credentials.
  • Only OCPAA staff will have event staff lanyards and will be allowed backstage.
  • Parents will not be allowed to view the dancers on stage from the side stage. If you would like to watch the performance you must have a ticket and sit in the audience. We have 2 identical shows so parents can help backstage in one and watch the other. There are also TVs in each dressing room showing the stage.

Here are the steps to sign up:

  • Read the PARENT INFORMATION document.
  • Check on the document to see if your child’s class is planned to participate in the recital
  • Fill out this form so we know what size costume to order for your child: https://forms.gle/pXjzgdSHchhuKkY7A
  • Once costume size form is submitted, OCPAA staff will enroll your child in a special class on the portal indicating that the student is registered for the recital. This is how you will confirm that we have received the costume form.
  • Pay all fees by October 25th.
  • Frequently check emails for important info. You can also log onto your portal account and click on messages to see all emails sent to you from OCPAA through the portal if you think emails aren’t getting through to you.
  • We have a new process for dressing room volunteers and student dressing room assignments. Please read the VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT for the details.

Wednesday, October 25th – REGISTRATION & COSTUME ORDER FORMS DUE (costumes can not be guaranteed to arrive in time after this date)

Saturday, November 18th/10:00 AM – TICKETS GO ON SALE A link to purchase on the venue’s website will be emailed out

Saturday, December 2nd – Friday, December 8th – DRESS REHEARSALS IN CLASS

Saturday, December 2nd – PICTURE DAY: professional photos in your costume – group and individual. (detailed schedule and photographer website for purchasing photo packages will be provided) AT THE STUDIO There will not be a makeup photo day

PERFORMANCE DATES AND TIMES – every class will have 2 performances/showtimes*
